Blog: Local/regional events key for AOPA’s relationship with pilots

Blogger Dan Pimentel writes that the monthly meetings he attends at his local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter help him to feel more connected with the organization. That kind of connection is missing between AOPA and its pilot members. AOPA has made a recent commitment to grass-roots efforts. "[T]his decision to go out and 'meet pilots where they fly' could make monumental strides towards fixing what I perceive as a relationship gap that exists between AOPA brass and its rank-and-file members," he writes.
