Commodity deadline passes for banks with no Fed word

The Federal Reserve has not issued guidance on banks' physical-commodity trading, despite a deadline Saturday. The deadline stems from an order last year when the Fed gave Goldman Sachs a year to exit the space to comply with commercial-banking regulations. The Senate banking committee has scheduled hearings next month, at which banks and the Fed are likely to testify.
