The defense industry is pushing the Pentagon to provide clear direction on its priorities during sequestration and to lay out a strategy by which it will allocate dwindling dollars. "There will never be acceptance that this is the new normal, but you have a business to run," said Christian Marrone, Aerospace Industries Association vice president for national security and acquisition policy. "You don't have the luxury to plan for budgets that won't be implemented. There's a reality to this."
