DOL: No penalty for failing to meet ACA notification deadline

The Department of Labor issued an online document answering frequently asked questions about obligations for employers, including physician practices, to provide staff with written notices by Oct. 1 about the Affordable Care Act's health insurance marketplaces. While employers should meet the deadline to provide the information, the agency said there is no penalty for failing to do so and it offered additional information regarding what the notices should include.
