Duncan rejects criticism of college-ratings system

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan spoke out Friday against criticism of the Obama administration's proposed college-rating system, noting that many of the details of the system have not yet been worked out. Addressing higher-education leaders at the Time Summit on Higher Education, Duncan said the system, which will link levels of federal aid to an institution's rating, will be comprehensive and include transfer rates, affordability and graduates' salaries.
