Lobbyists for various interest groups are nudging members of Congress to repeal the employer mandate, revise the definition of full-time employee, restore funding to hospitals for charity care and repeal an excise tax on medical devices, among other changes to the Affordable Care Act. "We’re dealing in a political reality where the law is not going to be repealed until the political dynamic changes," said Matthew Haller of the IFA, which hosted about 325 members including Dunkin' Donuts and Jiffy Lube for a public affairs event last week.
