Oil theft forces Shell to suspend exports from Nigerian pipeline

Theft of crude oil has prompted Royal Dutch Shell to suspend oil and natural gas exports from its Trans Niger Pipeline in Nigeria. "Some 150,000 barrels of oil and 500 million standard cubic feet of gas per day are deferred," Shell said, adding that such incidents have led to five shutdowns of the pipeline since July.
