Oral-B app puts its money where people's mouths are

Procter & Gamble's Oral-B Power oral-health division has developed a free iPhone application designed to improve people's toothbrushing habits by tracking their use and providing useful tips. Oral B said the app employs sound-recognition technology -- via the iPhone's microphone -- that monitors how long people brush, as well as a "quadrant guide" to gauge the quality of their activity while they are using certain Oral-B products.
