P/C insurance is holding steady in N.J. after Sandy, regulator says

Property/casualty insurance coverage availability along the New Jersey coast is "still very good," and there have been no unusual rate filings in the year since Hurricane Sandy hit, state Banking and Insurance Commissioner Kenneth Kobylowski says. "Immediately following the storm, this office and other state agencies were very mindful in being deliberate and thoughtful in our communication with the industry. Insurers know what to expect, and that goes a long way," Kobylowski said.
