"Personalized radiology" gives patient a bigger role

In the face of sweeping health care reimbursement reforms, radiologists can focus on "personalized radiology" to emphasize the value of their services and provide a complete, positive experience for patients -- and that includes sharing images with patients, according to one expert. "We are being tasked to show where we can provide value for health care dollars that come our way for imaging," said Dr. Roger Eng, president of Golden Gate Radiology Medical Group. "Personalized radiology can help us show that we do make an impact and improve care in a cost-effective way."
