Report: A Braintree deal would give PayPal a bigger m-commerce slice

PayPal is said to be close to making a bigger play in mobile commerce as it reportedly closes in on acquisition of Braintree Payments Solutions. Braintree currently processes $10 billion in transactions annually, charging merchants 2.9% and a 30-cent flat fee per transaction. Braintree and PayPal parent eBay are not commenting on the possible deal.
