Snagajob: A bright outlook for seasonal job seekers

U.S. businesses are expected to boost seasonal hiring this year, adding an average of 7.8 seasonal workers compared to 6.1 last year, and they'll start the search for temporary holiday workers earlier than usual, according to a Snagajob survey of 1,000 hiring managers. A separate report from outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas offers a less-rosy outlook, predicting that seasonal hiring levels by retailers and restaurants likely won't exceed last year's levels.
