Texas middle school flips the classroom for math lessons

Fifth-grade students at a Texas middle-school are learning math by watching YouTube videos featuring their teachers singing about concepts such as decimals and place value. "A true flipped classroom is where you video the lessons, they are viewed by students outside the class for homework, and then when they come into the classroom they get more one-on-one time with me, instead of me just delivering a message," Hallsville Intermediate School teacher Nona Meissner said.
