U.S. could privatize air-traffic control system, GAO says

The U.S. government is considering privatizing air-traffic control functions due to recent budget cuts and concerns over funding NextGen. “There are conversations taking place among the stakeholders,” said Gerald Dillingham, civil aviation director of the U.S. Government Accountability Office. “All things are on the table, including privatization or corporatization.”
