North Carolina students pay high parking fees rather than ride "uncool" buses

High schools in the Triangle region are raising student parking fees to as much as $120 to pay for administrative and security costs. Although students complain about the high fees, officials deem parking a privilege and say its cost should not be borne by already-strained school budgets.
