Virginia considers lowering Praxis I cut score

Virginia may lower the scores prospective teachers must achieve on the Praxis I test to attain certification. The Board of Education believes that lowering the passing mark may enable the state to recruit more teachers. Virginia's cut scores currently are the highest in the country for all three parts of the test.
