Commentary: In-store pick-up of online purchases boosts business

Wal-mart's recently introduced Site to Store service, which enables consumers to order a product on the company's Web site and pick it up within days at a nearby store, has surpassed expectations in its success, according to Raul Vazquez, Wal-mart.com's chief executive. Other companies, including Circuit City and Best Buy, have launched programs that allow for immediate pick-up of items purchased online.
