Study: Flu vaccines may not save seniors' lives

Researchers warned health officials on Monday that seniors might not be protected against influenza even if they get vaccinated and encouraged the additional use of antiviral drugs to protect the elderly from the disease. Experts argue that no studies have proven that flu vaccines prevent influenza-related deaths in people over the age of 65, who make up the majority of deaths and hospitalizations caused by the flu every year.
