Study: Gay characters alive and well on cable

There are 15 more gay characters on scripted cable TV shows this fall compared with last year and that, according to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, represents a real advancement in the depiction and inclusiveness of gays. Not so on the network TV side, which is creating fewer gay characters, according to GLAAD.
