BYU accounting program prepares for shift to IFRS

As the American business community prepares to transition to International Financial Reporting Standards, so too are university accounting programs, such as the one at Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Accounting. Those who don't may find themselves obsolete. "We believe the capital markets ultimately will insist on IFRS for public companies," said Barry Melancon, CEO of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
