D.C. teachers wary of giving up tenure

D.C. Chancellor Michelle A. Rhee's contract proposal has stalled partially over educators' uncertainty about her intentions, says teachers union president George Parker. Many older teachers fear they will be fired during the one-year probationary period required to become eligible for higher pay and bonuses, Parker said.
