Most Asian markets gain on Buffett's Goldman investment

The multibillion-dollar investment in Goldman Sachs by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway was seen as a show of confidence in the bank as well as the markets, and it helped spur most Asian markets to advance today. The Hang Seng Index increased 0.5% while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index climbed 0.3%. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 Average edged up 0.2%, while the broader Topix gained 0.1%. The S&P/ASX 200 in Sydney rose 1.2%, New Zealand's NZX 50 index gained 1.0% and the Kospi in South Korea advanced 1.0%. Taiwan's Taiex edged down 0.8%.
