Report: 80% of Minnesota school nurses say there is a shortage

The shortage of Minnesota school nurses is hurting students, say three out of four school nurses surveyed recently for a report by think tank Minnesota 2020 and the School Nurse Organization of Minnesota. The organization wants to add a new one-cent tax on 12-ounce bottles of carbonated soda to raise $29 million annually, enough to hire 600 more school nurses.
