Wieden, Starbucks no longer sipping from the same cup

Wieden + Kennedy is opting out of its role as Starbucks' lead agency, saying the parting made sense for both agency and client. Starbucks, which had worked with Wieden since 2004, said the shop opted out of the relationship after the coffee giant asked both Wieden and various other agencies it works with to generate ideas "to move the brand forward."
