ACC supports changes in EPA's emissions-reporting requirements

The American Chemistry Council says the Environmental Protection Agency's final rule on reporting greenhouse-gas emissions addresses some of its concerns and provides more flexibility for chemical companies to comply. The organization said it supports a provision that allows use of best available monitoring methods, a reduction in required frequency sampling and analysis in some categories and the exclusion of research and development from reporting.
