L.A. set to host mortgage-modification event

Boston-based Neighborhood Assistance Corp. of America is sponsoring a five-day event in Los Angeles where lenders' representatives will meet with borrowers looking to modify their mortgages to avoid foreclosure. The event is expected to draw 50,000 people to the Los Angeles Convention Center, as well as representatives from Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and other banks. Similar events sponsored by NACA around the country drew 180,000 people this past summer.
