Study: High fructose intake in men may result in higher blood pressure

Two new studies suggest that sugar-rich diets increase the risk for high blood pressure and obesity. One of the studies also found that allopurinol, a drug for treating gout, helped lower uric acid levels to stop blood pressure from rising and reduced the risk of metabolic syndrome in men.
