Americans' desire to travel helps industry bounce back

Government figures show that Americans' travel-related spending grew 3% in the second quarter, led by a 3.9% rise in air travel expenditures. The broader economy, meanwhile, grew at just 1.6% for the period. Much of the increase was due to a rise in business travel, but consumers, too, are once again giving in to the travel bug.
