Democrats take tax cuts off Senate agenda until after the election

Senate Democrats said proposals to extend Bush-era tax cuts won't be brought up for a vote until after the November election. U.S. President Barack Obama and most Democrats support extending the breaks for households earning less than $250,000 a year. Republicans want the extension to apply to people of all income.
