MU penalties have little effect on doctors' decisions to adopt EHRs

A survey of about 500 doctors indicated that at least 65% did not know about the financial penalties for not demonstrating meaningful use of EHRs and that this would not spur them to adopt the technology. The survey also found that while most physicians were concerned about EHR staff training and implementation costs, about 58% said they believe the technology will positively affect quality of care.
