Observers raise concerns about TSA's efforts, failure rate

Some of the TSA's efforts to prevent security breaches at the nation's airport raise questions about whether the TSA's practices actually work. Top TSA officials say security is "improving." Meanwhile, some lawmakers have pointed out that the TSA's "failure rate has worsened. "It's higher than it should be," said Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn. "That is why there needs to be more recurrent training -- they have to be at peak efficiency all throughout their shift."
