Alaska wants to build LNG pipeline, export complex for up to $50B

Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell wants to build a natural gas pipeline and export complex for between $40 billion and $50 billion. Rising demand for fuel in Asia could mean export opportunities worth an estimated $20 billion annually for the state. Parnell has asked a joint venture of Exxon Mobil, BP and ConocoPhillips to submit plans for an 800-mile pipeline and liquefaction plant.
