Chicago to provide free Wi-Fi in parks, other public spaces

The city of Chicago plans to set up a high-speed broadband network that will offer faster Internet service in underserved areas and provide free Wi-Fi connectivity in a variety of public spaces, Mayor Rahm Emanuel said today. The Chicago Broadband Challenge was initiated with free Wi-Fi service in Millennium Park.
