Middle-grades teacher shares passion for writing with colleagues

Bob Crongeyer, recently named Sacramento County Teacher of the Year in California, spends part of his time as co-director of the Writing Project, which offers summer institutes to top teachers, where they write and study best practices. "It is built on the philosophy that teachers are the best teachers of teachers," said Crongeyer, who teaches third- through sixth-graders who are gifted and talented.
