Pilots object to rule limiting Portland, Ore., airport airspace use

A new rule issued by the Federal Aviation Administration limiting takeoffs and landings at Pearson Field Airport in Vancouver, Wash., will take effect Oct. 1. The rule reduces the times that private planes can access airspace around Portland International Airport in Oregon. Pilots met with FAA officials Thursday and are scheduled to meet again this Saturday in the pilots lounge at Pearson Field.
