AMC's Sapan: There is no "secret sauce" for show success

AMC doesn't have a "secret sauce" for creating high-quality drama series such as "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad," but it has benefited from the delayed-viewing and binge-watching trends, according to AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan. "People are watching television with greater concentration, and more attention, more often sitting down when you want to as opposed to when the schedule instructs you to," Sapan said at an industry conference. "Because of that, you can pay a little more attention to a nuanced story and you have a little more appreciation for nuance, great writing and craft."
