Many investors are dissatisfied with equity research, but challenges from small independent providers and entirely new kinds of research are starting to improve the situation, according to The Economist. "Old-style research is not about to die. ... But with budgets under pressure and competition growing, the market is becoming more efficient," the magazine notes.
