AT&T's Stephenson details all-IP, LTE Broadcast plans

AT&T will roll out LTE Broadcast technology over the next few years to deliver more narrowly targeted content, CEO Randall Stephenson told an investor conference Tuesday. Stephenson also detailed the carrier's plan to convert its infrastructure into a platform based on Long-Term Evolution, IP and cloud computing by 2020. He urged federal regulators to move more swiftly to review AT&T's proposal to ditch its copper lines in favor of an IP- and wireless-based network.
