Bronx bodegas get healthy food makeovers

Three corner bodegas in the Bronx, N.Y., and eight others in the area are getting makeovers from City Harvest under a program that aims to bring more fresh produce and healthy food options to food deserts. "We are selling a lot more vegetables and fruit, selling more water instead of soda, and making sandwiches with whole wheat bread," said William Troncoso, co-owner of Makey Deli Grocery, who said he also plans to start making fresh vegetable juice.
