Calif. Gov. Brown signs bill targeting in-app advertising to minors

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill limiting online and applications advertising directed at minors and providing them a virtual "eraser button" to eliminate activity traces. A separate bill expected to be signed by the governor requires websites to make plain their tracking policies and how to opt-out. Privacy advocates praised the bills, while Santa Clara University Law professor Eric Goldman blogged the bill pertaining to minors is not clear.
