Fall-flavored cocktails arrive in New York City

New York City bartenders are mixing up fall-inspired libations using spiced cider and high-end spirits. "We wanted to do a play on a cider, but not a traditional hard apple cider," said Sarah Krathen of Sorella, who crafts her own cider using sliced pears, cinnamon, cloves and other spices before pouring over whiskey. "[The drink has] the warm spices and it’s nice on a cold night."
