Federal cyberexperts overwhelmed by data deluge, poll shows

The specialists in charge of protecting U.S. government networks from cyberattacks are overwhelmed by current data loads, according to a report that says less than a quarter of federal cybersecurity professionals say their data-security efforts are adequate to prevent a breach. The survey of 203 cybersecurity professionals conducted by MeriTalk found that about half of respondents said Federal Information Security Management Act guidelines have made security stronger, but less than a third say their agencies are in total compliance with the standards.
