Gerard: API would consider legislative alternatives for renewable fuel mandate

The American Petroleum Institute is prepared to consider legislative options for the Renewable Fuel Standard, President and CEO Jack Gerard said. "We're happy to entertain any proposals that anybody wants to put forward, and we'll come forward with some of our own," he said. Separately, Gerard said delays in the approval of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline could affect ties between the U.S. and Canada.
