A la carte is "not good for consumers," Viacom chief says

A forced a la carte pricing system wouldn't be good for consumers, and many regulators and legislators recognize that, Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman said at an industry conference. "The system as it exists allows a lot of choice for a reasonable price. The price to pick networks that you think you want now would go up in an a la carte world," Dauman said at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference in New York.
