Unlimited data plans will soon be extinct, Verizon Communications CEO Lowell McAdam told an investor conference on Tuesday, asserting the proliferation of bandwidth-rich video will make them unrealistic to sustain. "With unlimited, it's the physics that breaks it. If you allow unlimited usage, you just run out of gas," McAdam said. He also said that Verizon would never look to compete for subscribers based on price but instead would press its advantage in building out a national Long-Term Evolution network.
