Startups aim to help diners find empty tables around town

Software engineer Jason Davis' latest project stemmed from his own aversion to planning ahead -- in July, Davis launched an automated Twitter account called Last Minute Eatin' that lets people know about New York City restaurants that have last-minute reservations available via OpenTable. It's one of several new start-ups aimed at matching consumers with restaurants that have tables to fill.
