Survey: Spending on mobile ads is up 142% since 2011

Adults in the U.S. have nearly tripled their daily mobile media use since 2011, and marketers are responding by more than doubling their mobile ad budgets in the same period, according to surveys from eMarketer and the Interactive Advertising Bureau. Mobile ad budgets in 2013 averaged more than $242,000, while the average U.S. adult now spends about 2.5 hours with mobile media each day.
