What do apple cider vinegar and coconut oil have to do with pet health?

Although apple cider vinegar has gained popularity for a variety of supposed health benefits for dogs, nutrition insight manager Jill Cline of Royal Canin pet food says there's no scientific evidence supporting the claims, although she also says there are no known ill effects as long as the vinegar is diluted. Coconut oil, however, does appear to offer some benefit to dogs with cognitive dysfunction syndrome, and it may also improve coat quality, Cline said.
