Conference aims to show you don't have to be "ex-gay" to be spiritual

A gay pastor in Palm Springs, Calif., is organizing "Love Breaks Out," a November conference on LGBT people and spirituality, in response to Focus on the Family's recent "Love Won Out," a gathering of the so-called "ex-gay" movement held last weekend in the desert resort. "There is no consensus whatsoever that living as a healthy homosexual or lesbian is detrimental to living a healthy life," says organizer Nick Warner, a clinical psychologist and pastor of Desert Oasis Chapel.
