Hotels boost revenue, spirits with upscale drinks

With the economy under stress and hotels looking for ways to increase revenues, even chains are expanding their offerings of craft beers, fancy nonalcoholic drinks, and cocktails that combine fresh fruit, herbs and spirits in appealing new ways. Marriott has trained its bartenders to mix the new cocktails and has introduced signature drinks at its Renaissance hotels that sell for as much as $16 each.
